“This truly was the experience of a lifetime. This retreat was my first time in Europe, my first time traveling alone for so long, my first time traveling with literally everyone in the group, & my first ever Artist's Retreat. Rachel was extraordinarily communicative MONTHS before the actual retreat, quelling several of my travel fears and anxiety. Once we were there, she and Laura did absolutely everything to ensure we were all comfortable, cared for, and experiencing the things we most wanted to. There was ample free time, but a carefully curated itinerary that she shared with us well beforehand, which also helped me personally with the planning and preparation. Even though it was a trip of many firsts for me, I can honestly say I have never felt safer with an unknown group of people. I made several close friendships on this retreat, and exposed myself to creative pursuits & interests I might've never had I not made the decision to join. I absolutely would travel with Rachel and Laura again, and I look forward to our next creative adventure together. Thank you so much to Laura and Rachel x”

Dear Traveler,

I hope this letter finds you well and basking in the beauty of life’s little moments. I wanted to share some heartfelt reflections from my recent artist retreat in Paris, which was my second time hosting, and it was truly unforgettable.

This summer, I welcomed nine incredible travelers from thousands of miles away to the City of Light. Each of them brought their unique perspectives, stories, and creativity, creating a vibrant tapestry of inspiration. It felt like a dream to share the enchanting streets of Paris with such a talented group. From sketching beneath the Eiffel Tower to poetry readings by the Seine, every moment was a treasure.

We laughed, created, and connected in ways that felt almost otherworldly. I was constantly amazed by their talent and courage. Watching them bloom and share their voices was one of the greatest joys of my life. It’s incredible how quickly we became an artist collective, bound by our shared passion for poetry and expression.

And here’s the exciting news: we’ve put together a beautiful book titled “The Art & Poetry of Travelers: Vol. II,” featuring their collective work from the retreat. I can’t wait for you to experience the magic we created together. It will be released soon, and I promise it captures the spirit of our journey in Paris.

I’m so grateful for each of my nine travelers, who made this retreat so special. This experience has filled my heart with joy and has left me eagerly anticipating the next adventure.

Yours,

Rachel Clift - July 30th, 2023
