“Photography is how I see the world, poetry is how I interpret it. I wished to meld my two passions together– so this project was born.
For this summer series, I chose a handful of poems, two dear friends, and took them to secluded locations in nature to explore and shoot.
In short, we read the poems one by one, pinpointed the feeling from the words, and found a way to recreate that feeling visually in a photograph.
These photos are essentially, themselves, poems.
I’d like to thank the exquisite Olivia and Vanessa for following me deep into the woods, across rivers, and over the tops of mountains all for the sake of art, poetry, and human emotion.”
